Parkrun report 29 June 2024

22 Members ran or volunteered at 13 different UK and Irish parkrun’s this week which is the final date for the MAC June challenge. Some absolutely fantastic running took place with Tim Clayton joining our elite group of 6 runners who have now achieved an over 80% age grading during the month. Tim’s time of 19.56 and 81.19% at the undulating Brierley Forest course was just 0.08% short of earning him the Bronze Medal which goes to Tony Barrable for his 81.27% run achieved at Monsal Trail. The Silver Medal position is taken by long time table topper Simon Brister for his fantastic 86.46% age grading on the same course. However, we have a very clear winner coming in with a very late but perfectly timed run at Alvaston, Hayley Gill takes the Gold Medal with an unbelievable PB run of 17.50 and the exceptional age grading of 91.78%!!!

There are now 48 members who have recorded at least one parkrun run or volunteer in the month of June with 17 members achieving greater than a 70% age grading. Over 30 different parkrun venues have been visited from Brighton in the South East and Penrose in the South West all the way up to Bressay in the Shetland Isles of Scotland!!
parkrun cannot take place with out volunteers so special mention for Atessa Kolanowska and Andy Mellor who are regular mac volunteers at Monsal Trail parkrun.
