Parkrun

parkrun Saturday 8 June 2024

Here are the tables. Alongside the “usual” table in parkrun alphabetical order we now have this weeks age graded sorted table plus a new table that shows all results for weeks 1 and 2 in June. Simon Brister (as predicted by the author) has shot into the lead, closely followed by Kate Ruffell with young Luke Beresford not so far behind in third position. More comments will be added later and any late results added in. Shout out if I have missed you by adding your run into the comments. Sunday morning edit. No further parkrunners have been identified so far. Monsal Trail was obviously the most popular parkrun on Saturday with 7 runners and 2 volunteers. Young Casper Reynolds lead the team home with a 9th place finish in 20.28. Simon Brister was then next in producing our chart topping 82.57% age grading with a super 22.57. David Davidson and Les Thurston also both had cracking runs for our septuagenarian elite running section! Up at Bressay Kate Ruffell ran another fantastic time finishing 2nd lady and 10th overall in 23.47. Young Luke Beresford added another first finisher position to his ever expanding list at Pavilion Gardens in a pretty swift 17.23 and 78.52% but in his own words he needs more age to cross into the super elite club of 80% plus age graded runners! Other stand out performer of the weekend was Darren Spibey with a 19.22, 2nd place finish at Poolsbrook parkrun.
Remember that it’s the club challenge in June to run any parkrun and see what age grading you can achieve. John Thorpe has mentioned prizes with something drawn out of the hat for all that participate so why not head out to Monsal Trail or elsewhere next Saturday.
