It gives me pleasure to announce that the Matlock Athletic Club, now has its very own Club Welfare Officer (CWO)
Paul Keetley, whom many of you will know, has accepted this vital role within the club.
Paul, who has only just turned Sixty years of age, and has been a Club Member since 1993, is currently in training for the London Marathon, having competed in it before a few times as well as our very own race the "Swift Half" (White Peak Half Marathon). These races though are just Walks in the Park for Paul, as not too many years ago, he would be more at home doing a Mountain Marathon,(Karrimor International Two day Event to name one) usually in Sub-Zero Temperatures.
Paul, also has a strong background in Teaching and from 1980, his career has led him to various Comprehensive Schools and of late, working in Schools which have demanding roles with the teaching and support of Children\ Young Adults, challenged with learning Difficulties.
Paul, now recently retired, will be your Club Welfare Officer who will be responsible for looking after and promoting the Welfare and well being of Club individuals, in line with the Governing Bodies of our Sport.
Pauls Contact Details, will appear on the Website soon, along with All Other Committee Members details (and Photographs). Look out on the Notice Board at the ARC too as the Clubs Committee will be appearing on there too along with details of Our Coaches and Who to Contact to order New Club Kit.
