A promising start to the new MAC Members’ Autumn/Winter age graded 10k series as 28 make it to the start line for the new format which mow features separate ladies’ and men’s categories. The flying Zak Hodgkinson takes the kudos for fastest time of the evening with the first sub 36 run of the competition, and despite a navigational error Louise Rowley managed to pip Emma Turner to the fastest ladies’ time of the evening. The all important age graded results did go Emma's way though as she claimed the intial win in the ladies’ section.
The men’s category looks set for a battle of the generations as we had a 49 year age spread through the top 5 places showing what a good leveller the handicapping system is, and it's Jim Thorneycroft who takes an early lead.Always good to see new faces, hope you all enjoyed the race. We had six lady members competing tonight, can we boost that to double figures in November? Many thanks to all who who ran and to the timekeeping team of John Thorpe, Dan Ashcroft, Andy Mellor and Jack Cummings.Race results and series standings on the MAC webscorer page
