It was the Helen’s Trust Chatsworth 10k on Sunday which is a multi terrain race with almost 700fts worth of climb around the beautiful grounds of Chatsworth House. It was near perfect conditions as it was warm with a slight head wind. The race started off fast and furious as you would expect. MACs Dan Haworth, who has just been selected to run for England at the Snowdon International Mountain Race later this month, was on fire. He was running hard and fast and Stuart Bond was struggling to stay with him on tired legs. Dan eventually finished 1st in a amazing time of 33:32 and Stuart finished in 2nd in 34:31. Stuart was pleased with result as this was only his 4th race of the year.
Great results too for MAC from Ricky Wood 6th 38.25, Paddy Wright 12th 40.09, Hayley Gill 4th lady and 1st LV40, 41.55, Michael McMaster 71st 46.31, Chris Henshaw 94th 47.28, Craig Cantrell 100th 47.44, Jonathan Tyson 133rd 49.21, Carly Spear 155th 50.22, Antony Lester 190th 51.33, Cath Lee 297th 54.39, Sally Owen 338th 56.18, Ellie Salomoni 447th 59.51 and Naomi Aburn 1.00.04.
