On Sunday it was the 3rd running of the Dark and White Wildest Peak race starting and finishing at the Longshaw Estate. This is a high level/moorland trail running event with the choice of long (21.5k) and short (10.6k) routes with a combination of top quality running trails and stunning Peakland views, including Upper Burbage, Higger Tor, Hathersage Moor and Millstone Edge. The snowy conditions on Saturday made for a better day on Sunday but it was still a very challenging course. The winner was Chris Kilburn in 1 hour 40 minutes 38 secs. For MAC Rupert Holden was 6th and 2nd MV50 in 1 hour 54 minutres 36 secs. Hayley Gill, despite a fall and missing a checkpoint came in 1st lady and 14th overall in 2 hours 2 minutes, Christine Howard 2 hours 24 minutes 21 secs and Anna Brown 2 hours 52 minutes 16 secs. There were 136 finishers. In the short race, the winner was Chris Jones in 48.41. For MAC Jon Burch was 15th in 1 hour 3 minutes 33 secs. There were 101 finishers.
