The Dark and White Wildest Peaks Trail Run took place at the weekend at Longshaw Estate. This event was postponed from January. It is a very demanding trail run with plenty of technical muddy and rocky going, even more so this year with the added mud due to the recent snow melt. It was a chilly damp start but for most despite the odd misty cloud blowing over Higger Tor the majority of the route was cloud-free.
The winner of the long course event (27.5k) was Gerard Marce Garcia in 1.54.49. For MAC Simon Croft had an impressive run to finish in 11th place and 1st MV50 in 2.15.18 with Peter Wilmot 12th in 2.15.20. 1st lady was Lucy Wasinksi in 2.19.38. MACs Christine Howard was 1st LV in 2.33.28.
